Scenario: I dress up well like a waiter, get a fancy peppermill, stroll in to an expensive restaurant on a busy night and simply go from table to table offering patrons pepper. See what happens, and see how long it takes to happen.
Questions:
1) I have a friend who really wants to join in, but 2 pepper freelancers might be pushing it. Do you think it's a good idea for her be a freelance cheeser (offering to grate fancy cheese onto people's dishes)? Or would it be more effective just to have one freelancer?
2) It would be great to have a couple people dine at the restaurant at separate tables and surreptitiously film the reactions. Volunteers?
3) Anyone have a huge fancy peppermill or showy cheese-grater to lend to the cause?
4) Where in San Francisco can I get a cheap tux

Try a fancy restaurant and also a Chevy's or somewhere even cheesier.
Would you like some pepper on your fajita, senor?
