Cell phone jammers have been around for a while. I was just thinking how fun it would be to go to one of those big electronics or telecomm expos with a crew armed with jammers and just walk around looking at booths and blending in with the crowd. I'm sure that the inability of their cell phones and whatever else (blackberries?) to function would probably make it's way into a column of one of the technical / electronics publications. Re: Cell phone jammers
Tue, January 15, 2008 - 8:15 PMHow would you feel if you were jamming phones and you found out you are the reason someone didn't get medical attention soon enough, and they died?
That would bother me.
Just saying... -

Re: Cell phone jammers
Tue, January 15, 2008 - 8:32 PMAll booths have electrical and phone lines in the floor, plus security have Motorola walkie-talkies that operate on a different band. I worked in a couple of convention centers. No one is going to die because the cellular band is screwed up. I'd be more worried about an FCC fine, but if you are sneaky no one is ever going to pinpoint where the problem is.
